The Palos Verdes Library District welcomes a presentation by author and historian Carl Palm, "This Day in California History" at 3pm on Thursday, June 5 at the Malaga Cove Library. Join us for a light-hearted look at the people, places, and events that shaped California from the quirky to the conventional.  For example, hear about Bob Simmons, inventor of the modern surfboard; or Richard and Pat Nixon’s marriage at the swank Mission Inn in Riverside, CA; and much more.  This delightful presentation is packed with trivia, sports, historical events and amusing anecdotes, bringing the state’s rich history to life.
