This Day in California History

Text
The Palos Verdes Library District welcomes a presentation by author and historian Carl Palm, "This Day in California History" at 3pm on Thursday, June 5 at the Malaga Cove Library. Join us for a light-hearted look at the people, places, and events that shaped California from the quirky to the conventional. For example, hear about Bob Simmons, inventor of the modern surfboard; or Richard and Pat Nixon’s marriage at the swank Mission Inn in Riverside, CA; and much more. This delightful presentation is packed with trivia, sports, historical events and amusing anecdotes, bringing the state’s rich history to life. Books will be available for purchase and signing. No registration is required.
