Book Talk - The Cactus Eater

Text

Palos Verdes Estates, CA – The Palos Verdes Library District presents a book talk with local author, Dan White, in the Malaga Cove Library Community Room, on Tuesday, July 1st at 2pm.  Dan White, who grew up in Lunada Bay, will be speaking at his childhood library about his first book “The Cactus Eater: How I Lost My Mind – and Almost Found Myself – on the Pacific Crest Trail”.   This modern day “Lois and Clark Expedition” follows Dan and his girlfriend as they hike the Pacific Crest Trail, which stretches from Mexico to Canada, with little more than a tent and trail mix.  Rave reviews on Amazon.com and elsewhere attest to the humorous and self-deprecating style with which Dan recounts their adventure.  The Malaga Cove library is located at 2400 Via Campesina in Palos Verdes Estates.  For more information call 310.377.9584, ext.  452.
