- Who can enter the contest? How old do you have to be?
- The bookmark contest is open to anyone 18 and under. There is no age minimum.
- How many winners are there?
- There will be multiple winners from each branch, based on age categories and the number of entries we receive.
- When is the deadline?
- The contest runs from September 1st to September 30th, 2024. Sign-up forms will be available starting September 1st. Submissions will be accepted at every branch and online.
- Are there any rules?
- There is no theme for the annual bookmark contest!
- Licensed/copyrighted characters are not allowed; original art only; no violent or inappropriate material
- Patrons are encouraged to use a variety of art materials: crayons, colored pencils, markers, collages, paint, etc. (whatever can be properly and easily shown in a mass-printed bookmark - decorations like glitter, sparkles, etc. might not translate well into a photocopy)
- All bookmark art must be drawn within the provided template on the sign-up form.

We can only accept one entry per person.
- How do you submit the bookmark?
- Submissions are accepted in person at each branch and online.
- If it is an online submission, the file must be of a high enough quality and resolution to be properly printed.
- What do you get if you win? Who selects the winners?
- Prizes: Winners will be contacted via the contact information they provide on the form. Winner's bookmarks will be professionally printed and shared throughout the PV library district and will receive a $25 Barnes & Noble gift card. Winners will also be invited to a celebratory event to be presented with their prizes.
- Judging process: Winning designs will be decided on and selected by PVLD staff.
