Information & Instructions

  • The fee for test proctoring is $50.00 and is payable in cash, check, or credit/debit card, or money order. The fee is payable at the time of testing.  Please make checks or money orders payable to Palos Verdes Library District.
  • Tests are limited to 4 hours. An additional fee of $50 will be charged for all tests that extend beyond the 4-hour limit.
  • Students must schedule their test directly with the test proctor manager during the library proctoring times only.
  • Students must bring a valid picture I.D. with them for entry into the testing area.
  • It is the student's responsibility to bring pencils, paper, pens, calculators, etc. to the testing site. The library will not provide these materials.
  • If the student is taking an online course, it is the student's responsibility to provide their own notebook/laptop computer with internet access capabilities, unless otherwise instructed by their institution. The library will provide a laptop for test taking if it is a requirement of the test taker's institution. The library provides free wireless access and a power outlet. It is strongly recommended that the test taker visit the library prior to their exam date to make sure that their laptop/notebook works with the library's wireless access service.

  • If applicable, for written exams, the student must provide a pre-paid, self-addressed, stamped envelope for mailing the exam if the institution does not provide these materials. The library will not pay for postage. 
  • If taking an online, electronic exam, please send the test to the following e-mail address: testproctor@pvld.org
  • If applicable, please email the exam directly to the specific test proctor's email address that was provided at the time that your proctor appointment was confirmed.
