An extensive collection of genealogical information about Palos Verdes families who appeared on the 1930 Federal Census occupies eight large notebooks. Two smaller notebooks record information about ranching families (Phillips, McCarrell, and Bixby) who lived on the Peninsula before 1930. These consist of family group sheets, newspaper articles, and other vital information spanning in some cases three generations of an early family.
Local History Center docents are available to assist with basic family history research for families both from the Peninsula and elsewhere.
